    1. The Framingham risk score, a widely used
      cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk prediction tool, overestimated the risk
      in a large cohort of older Chinese adults in Hong Kong despite
      recalibration. It should be used with caution for this population.
2. Our study was limited by the lack of comprehensive laboratory predictors and CVD incidence data. New risk prediction models should be developed for specific settings with CVD incidence data.
