Risks posed by the use of oxygen therapy and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation: a pilot study

1. Substantial exposure to exhaled air occurs within a 0.5 m radius of patients receiving non-invasive positive pressure ventilation and a 0. m radius of those receiving oxygen therapy.
